De Wolk is a center in Ghent where puppets, performers, and audiences can come together. The MUPO—the Museum of Puppetry—offers a space for tradition and innovation, heritage and experimentation, with a focus on the unifying power of puppetry.

This season, we want to build a GIANT, and we need more space for that. Broei is the perfect place to hatch this concept. Broei as a womb, so to speak.It will be a giant dragon, created and carried by a colorful mix of local residents.Everyone can watch the growth process and lend a hand, from building the frame to adding the decorations. And finally, with bells and whistles, we’ll parade through the city!We also want to work on a mobile street puppet theater.Through puppetry, we bring people together—young and old, from here and elsewhere. Puppetry: a traditional antidote to digital overload. Small is beautiful. Even when it’s giant-sized.
