Kwierelier

After Dressed Like Boys’ performance at the AB, with the Antwerp Queer Choir serving as the opening act and backing singers, Kirsten and Matilde began to play with the idea of launching a similar initiative in Ghent. Kwierelier brings the queer community together to sing pop songs that move us or make us dance. We sing about themes we find important, such as diversity, freedom, identity, and empowerment. Kwierelier is a warm, inclusive space where queer people can be themselves, have fun together, and sing in harmony. We’re starting with a few tryouts, and eventually we’d like to perform. Anyone who identifies as queer is welcome, including queers over 30!
