Silent Yoga

Silent Yoga is a wellness project for young adults (16–30) that combines yoga, breathing, and mindfulness with an immersive listening experience via wireless headphones.

The sessions are accessible, non-performance-oriented, and focus on regulating the nervous system, mental resilience, and creating a sense of safety and connection.

Participants move together in silence, guided by voice and music, creating space for both introspection and collective experience. The sessions take place at BROEI and – where possible – in meaningful public or historical locations in Ghent, so that young people can also forge a new relationship with the city in which they live.

The project targets young people experiencing pressure due to studies, work, entrepreneurship, or life choices, and offers a preventive, non-clinical form of mental support. After each session, there is an informal gathering (tea & nuts) to encourage connection and integration.
