Paningkamot Pagpadayon ang Paglupad (PPaP): Segment 2
A Durational Performance by Jay Albaos and Collaborators
Paningkamot Pagpadayon ang Paglupad (PPaP) / An Attempt to Not Lose Flight is a
four-hour durational performance about becoming, attempting to take flight, gathering
what is needed to soar, confronting the precarities of flight, and practicing what I call
active kindness. The work is part of my Doctoral candidacy in Artistic Research at KU
Leuven and LUCA School of Arts.
PpaP: Segment 2 follows the earlier Segment 1, which focused on the collection and
documentation of the public. In this new phase, PPaP unfolds as an open, durational
performance that visitors may enter, exit, and return to freely. Everyone is warmly invited
to drop by, linger, participate, or simply experience the work at their own rhythm.

This publicly engaged piece emerged from a year-long collaboration among five bodies
based in Gent, Lochristi, Brussels, and Leuven.
