Zondag 17 september 2023 17:00 - 20:00 at Broei.
Op zondag 17 september vindt de opening en diner plaats van het project Moving Grounds,
initiatief van bioloog Vincent Rennie en kunstenaar Annelotte Lammertse. Gedurende het
afgelopen half jaar zijn er in samenwerking met Minus-One, Draad en Broei verschillende
workshops georganiseerd rond de spontane vegetatie van de stad. Via wandelingen,
gespreken, samen tekenen verven en weven is er toegewerkt naar een speculatieve vlag voor
de stad. Voordat de vlag buiten komt te hangen bij 019 willen we jullie uitnodigen het proces
samen af te sluiten met een gezamenlijke maaltijd.
Het diner wordt gemaakt in samenwerking met o.a. Lara Bongard en Kapinga Muela Kabeya
en is geïnspireerd op de wandelingen, de verhalen, de kleuren en de verdwenen kennis rond

De avond zal geopend worden met een performance ‘I dreamed that all my friends’ van Lisa
Koo Gautama en Marius Huguenin-Dumittan. Door poëzie, liederen, soundscapes en muziek
te combineren, neemt het stuk het publiek mee op een fantasierijke reis naar een desolate,
apocalyptische plek, waar twee mensen elkaar lijken te ontmoeten. In addition to the flag,
Broei's expo space will display a photo series by young creators who have spent the past few
months creating portraits of various residents of the city.

Warm welcome to the opening and diner of the project Moving Grounds Sep 17 th in Broei an
initiative of Vincent Rennie and Annelotte Lammertse. During the past six months a series of
workshops has been organized around the spontaneous vegetation of Ghent in collaboration
with Minus-One, DraadLab and Broei. Through walks, talks, drawing dyeing and weaving,
we worked towards a speculative flag for the city. Before the big flag goes outside at 019 we
would like to invite you to conclude the process together with a communal meal.
The dinner is made in collaboration with Lara Bongard and Kapinga Muela Kabeya, among
others, and is inspired by the walks, the stories, the colours, and the vanished knowledge
