Wij zijn Oona en Jinte en samen maken we een nihilistische, duistere en onaangename performance opgebouwd rond een textielwerk dat centraal zal staan waaraan we beweging en live muziek toevoegen. In de performance zullen we een ruimte creëren waar geen ontsnapping aan is, waar mensen opgesloten zitten en doordraaien.
Om het textielwerk te bekomen zullen we een verzamelpunt starten waar mensen terecht kunnen om hun oude afgedankte en kapotte textiel achter te laten. Dit kan gaan van een T-shirt of oude gordijnen tot wollen sokken. Het textielwerk zal tot stand komen aan de hand van workshops waarin we ons verdiepen in het kapot maken van dit ingezamelde textiel en deze opnieuw te verbinden tot een getextureerd materiaal. Hierbij maken we gebruik van verschillende handwerken zoals haken, breien, knopen, weven, etc. In deze workshops leggen we de focus op toegankelijkheid, verbinding en openheid. Er is geen juiste of foute manier om aan de slag te gaan. Hoe een bepaald deel van het werk eruitziet, is afhankelijk van de persoon die het maakte en dus uniek. Iedereen is een relevante schakel in de performance om het geheel te realiseren dat zich kan uitbouwen tot in het oneindige.

We are Oona and Jinte, and together we are creating a nihilistic, dark, and unsettling performance centered around a textile installation, to which we will add movement and live music. In the performance, we will create a space from which there is no escape, where people are trapped and driven to the brink of madness.
To obtain the textile piece, we will set up a collection point where people can drop off their old, discarded, and torn textiles. This can range from a T-shirt or old curtains to woolen socks. The textile piece will be created through workshops in which we explore the process of dismantling these collected textiles and reconnecting them into a textured material. We will use various craft techniques such as crocheting, knitting, knotting, weaving, etc. In these workshops, we focus on accessibility, connection, and openness. There is no right or wrong way to get started. How a particular part of the work looks depends on the person who made it and is therefore unique. Everyone is a vital link in the performance to realize the whole, which can expand indefinitely.
